John is an arboricultural consultant (also referred to as an arboriculturist) from County Down in Northern Ireland. John holds a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Housing and a Post Graduate Diploma (UK NQF Level 7) in Arboriculture & Urban Forestry. John is a Professional Member of the Arboricultural Association and Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters.

Over the last 15 years, John has worked on housing, development and green infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland, Ireland and mainland UK, enabling him to gain a thorough understanding of trees in relation to the planning system, the built environment and in terms of risk management.  

​

John has worked on projects with a wide range of professional clients including architects, developers, engineers, planners, local councils, housing associations, landscape architects, ecologists and foresters.

​

In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his family, walking his dog and cooking.
